Atomic Keyboard has not yet announced the final retail price of the MDR Dasher keyboard, citing uncertainty due to tariffs. However, interested customers can sign up for preorder notifications on the official website with no purchase commitment required.

Atomic Keyboard, a boutique keyboard studio, has opened an exclusive preorder waitlist for its MDR Dasher keyboard replica—a modern re-creation of the Data General ‘Dasher’ terminal keyboard featured in Apple TV Plus’s series Severance.

The replica stays true to the original’s unique 73-key, 70% layout, intentionally omitting the Escape, Option, and Control keys to match the design seen on the show's Macrodata Refinement workstations. It features a robust aluminum case, custom keycaps with MDR branding, and an integrated optical trackball module. The keyboard is designed for compatibility with Windows, macOS, and Linux, connects via USB-C, and includes function keys inspired by those shown in the series.

Although pricing remains undecided due to global tariff concerns, customers can register for preorder updates without making any financial commitment.

Earlier this year, Apple included a Severance-themed Easter egg on its online store, showcasing a fictional “Lumon Terminal Pro” landing page. The page included a spoiler warning and a behind-the-scenes video where co-creator Ben Stiller explained how three editors handled 83 TB of footage to finish the second season finale. While that promotion highlighted the show's production scale, the MDR Dasher keyboard is aimed at both mechanical keyboard enthusiasts and fans of the series who want a piece of its distinctive visual style.

Atomic Keyboard describes the MDR Dasher as a limited release offered via a group buy model. Those on the waitlist will receive the first notifications when orders officially open. Merging retro computing aesthetics with modern build quality and performance, the keyboard delivers a tactile experience meant to satisfy collectors and typing enthusiasts alike. The studio summarizes it best: “Please enjoy each keystroke equally.”
